I found myself at this site, Male Rentals, the other night after hearing about it from a few friends. They said that you don’t need to pay a membership for it, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to check it out. When I got there, I found out that they were right – no membership fees, no recurring billing. Also there were pay per minute movies, streaming movie rentals and downloadable movies.
Registering must took a minute or two and then I was checking out the site. There is a members login spot on the left hand side, a search engine where you can browse all the moves by title, star or studio. Also listed are the pay per minute packages that you can purchase. The right hand side has the most watched movies, the top studios, top downloads and new releases. Along the top of the screen is a navigation bar with links to: New Users, Buy Time, My Account, View Cart, Wish list, Favorites, Reviews, and more. One click takes you to that specific area of the site.
Before you can actually watch a movie, you need to purchase time. Under Buy Time, there are 7 different packages to choose from – the more time the more you save. All of the movies have been formatted for Windows Media Player and Real Player.
On the main page, there is a section called ‘Recommended Movies’. There is a long list of movies listed here – each with title, picture of the movies box cover, and a brief description of the movie. when you click on any one of them, you get to a page where you can choose your viewing options. Pay-Per-Minute lets you watch it immediately. Streaming Rentals allows you to watch the movie as many times as you like for 48 hours. Downloads is where you have the movie for 7 days, and you can watch it as often as you want. Each movie is rated, plus tells you what series it is from, how long it is, the studio where it was produced and the director. There is also a link for reviews, where others who have seen the movie have written their own reviews about it. A nice extra feature allowing you to read about it before buying it.
This is a great site. It is loaded with thousands of movies – all in DVD quality!
